NBA analyst mocking LeBron James’ demands for Lakers doesn’t sit well with fans
Lakers fans fire Back at Fox's Chris Broussard over his take on Anthony Davis' comments about adding "missing pieces" to the roster.
Chris Broussard mocks AD and Bron for wanting more
This season, the Los Angeles Lakers are struggling just as much as the LA natives wrestling with the inferno. After a stumbling onset, the Lakers are currently sitting in 5th place in the West with a 25-18 record under their brand-new head coach, JJ Reddick.
With slim chances in the tightly contested Western Conference this season, Anthony Davis recently requested the Lakers’ front office to add “missing pieces” to complement him and LeBron James if they have title aspirations. This prompted Fox Sports analyst and commentator Chris Broussard to slam James and AD for underselling their talents season after season.
73-9 warriors werent to good to pick up prime durant but its a problem when 40 year old bron needs help

However, these remarks by the co-host of First Things First have drawn ire from the Lakers fanbase. Up in arms about Broussard’s comments, one fan debated whether it’s unfair to compare the 40-year-old King with young superstars. Citing the example of the 73-9 Warriors dynasty procuring prime Kevin Durant, the fan argued, how come it’s an issue when James wants to do it?
Anthony Davis‘s recent remarks about the Lakers being “1-2 pieces away” from adding another ring to their vault have been eye-opening. He mentioned how the COVID championship in the bubble robbed them—and the city of Los Angeles—of a victory parade.
Anthony Davis on Lakers needing a big like Dwight Howard
During a sit-down interview with top NBA insider Shams Charania, Anthony Davis delved into numerous subjects, ranging from the LA wildfires to wanting to add another championship banner to the rafters since they missed out on the parade the first time around. However, according to AD, there’s one impediment to their dreams: a missing big man like JaVale McGee or Dwight Howard from their previous championship run.
Lakers' Anthony Davis sits down for ESPN: “One, we want to win it for the city. Two, we never got a parade. Three, it’s a lot of talk about an asterisk … We are (1-2 pieces away). I really feel like we are.”

It ain’t that hard to find a center 😴
— Dwight Howard (@DwightHoward) January 24, 2025
This elicited a sharp response from the Superman himself, who took to Twitter, writing, “It ain’t that hard to find a center,” with a sleeping emoji. Howard took an exit from LA after an altercation with AD during the 2021 season.
The Lakers’ list of woes continues to grow, with the 40-year-old Bron shouldering most of the weight on his broad shoulders. After defeating the GSW today, the Lakers are expected to pick up another easy win on the road in Charlotte against the Hornets on Monday. Currently, they are riding a 3-game winning streak
