Ja Morant and Charles Berkley

With the NBA All-Star game approaching, Ja Morant got up in Charles Berkley’s heated discussion on who should be in the All-Star game. Morant maybe just be 22, but he has been wreaking havoc on the court this season with his amazing defensive and offensive skills.

Since his draft by Memphis Grizzlies in 2019 in Round:1 pick 2,  the star has proven himself as someone who deserves the time on this court. Averaging 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game this season, Ja Morant has entered the discussion for the players to deserve a place in the All-Star game happening on February 20th, 2022.

The leading three candidates in the race are the reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, the former MVP Stephen Curry and the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. From discussing which other players deserve the MVP and the topic moved to the close approaching NBA All-Star games, and Ja Morant’s name was brought into the discussion after Charles Berkley called Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid the best baller this season.

Berkley wasn’t impressed with how Morant’s name just popped up and showed his frustration. He said, “First of all, I told ya I don’t even like the kid because anybody who has two letters in their name can’t be real.”

What makes this hilarious is that Berkley in the very next like says, “I am kidding.”

Berkley further says how he wants to re-trace back on his comments on how Stephen Curry should begin the All-Star guard because he now feels that Ja Morant should be the first one to start considering how Grizzlies basted out the Warriors the other day.

It’s quite evident that the Grizzlies star has been phenomenal this season and the fans love him. His recent chase-down block on Avery Bradley in Grizzlies vs Lakers hit the headlines faster than light and the audience was just shocked.
