LeBron James and Eric Gordon

Since the dawn of the 21st century, LeBron James has been one player who has consistently shown his attacking and defensive prowess against each team. No matter if it’s the MVP or an upcoming star, they haven’t been able to embarrass the King with their epic feet and skill move. Until Rockets’ veteran Eric Gordon to upon the responsibility on his shoulders. And truth to be told, it wasn’t pretty.

The 37-years-old 4x NBA Finals MVP, LeBron James is returning back from a sore knee to help his Lakers bounce back to winning ways as they lock horns in Houston against the Rockets. Little did anyone know, LeBron James was found looking for the pass until he turned back to Gordon, who knocked a 3-to bring the home bench onto their feet.

Take a look at how fans reacted upon the same-

With many knowing LeBron James doesn’t like being cooked so bad, he decided to make a move on Gordon on the very next play and ended up scoring a tough layup, to stretch his team’s lead in the first quarter.

As of writing the Lakers are up 38-32 by the end of the first quarter, courtesy to the brilliant performance by the Laker bench in the first quarter. Will they be able to ramp up a win against a depleted Western Conference side? Or are Houston Rockets planning to cause a major upset, once again in the 2021-22 season? Remains to be seen.
