“At 1:29, The Joker changed the game”- The Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic bombarded the score sheets in Nuggets vs Pelicans showdown

Nikola Jokic
Last night was no ho-hum for the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. Even though his name ends up below the NBA Superstars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, and sometimes after Luka Doncic still every now and then he put up plays that leave the whole NBA fraternity in jeepers.
Jokic continues to dominate the court with his own touch. Drafted in 2014 by the Denver Nugget, fate has its own plans as Nikola went unpicked in the first round and was the 41 pick in the second. Nobody would have guessed that Nikola would go on to become the core component of Nuggets’ offense and defense. One day and win a Most Valuable Player Award. With continued practice, a notable difference is seen in his scoring and rebounding abilities not that he was bad at it, to begin with, but they have improved a lot more. He is averaging 25.6 points per game and also hitting 13.5 rebounds per game that is the 2nd best this season.
Last night against the New Orleans Pelican he once again showcased an exceptional performance
Another triple-double for Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic the star center of the Denver Nuggets registered this season’s highest-scoring match last night. The Denver Nuggets traveled to New Orleans to square off against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Centre. The Pelican was amazing throughout the match. They would have won the game if it weren’t for Nikola Jokic’s explosive clutch performance.
With 1:29 on the clock in the 4th quarter, the Nuggets were trailing behind the Pelicans by 103-98. Nikola Jokic scored 5 back to back points to tie the game and take the game into Overtime. In overtime, the Nuggets scored a total of 15 points against the Pelicans’ 9. Jokic managed to score 11 points alone of his team’s total 15 in OT.
Nikola Jokic emerged with the highest score of the evening with 39 points along with scoring another triple-double with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. But then things just don’t end here. Jokic became the 4th NBA player in history to have 3 careers 30 points Triple-double on 70% FG. The other three players on the list are Wilt Chamberlin, Magic Johnson, and Oscar Robertson.
In the post-match interview, Nikola Jokic commented on his performance and said, “My teammates believe in me and they gave me the ball so I executed. Hopefully. Thankfully. Luckily…whatever you want to say.” Needless to say, he did execute the plan flawlessly.
The Denver Nuggets are 12-12 in the season thanks to their last night victory. Their math against the Chicago Bulls did leave them wounded but a victory like last night would have lifted the team spirit.
