The Brooklyn Nets faced the Sacramento Kings, in order to break their 5 games losing streak, but failed to do so against a lowly Sacramento team, they lost the game on Wednesday night which now makes it a six games losing streak for the Nets, something which has not happened since the last 2 years. James Harden had more turnovers than points against the Kings.

The Brooklyn Nets played the Sacramento Kings and had an embarrassing night, they put up a lowly performance against the Kings and lost the game 112-101. It’s now 6 games in a row that the Nets have failed to win, Steve Nash has made it a record that he wouldn’t like to cherish and the same goes for James Harden, who is also in his career on 6 games losing streak in his career. On the other hand, a team that was on a 7-game losing streak broke the streak against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets without their star man Kevin Durant, it was up to the duo of Kyrie Irving and James Harden to step up to perform for the team, Kyrie Irving came out with 14 points, 1 assist, and 1 rebound, and had 4 turnovers, on the other hand, James Harden scored just 4 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds. What is shocking is that in the game James Harden had more turnovers than points scored (6 turnovers). Steve Nash relied on the bench to look for some answers but it wasn’t enough, Nic Claxton put up a good performance to keep the Nets in the game but even on his best night the wind was not on their side, Claxton scored 23 points, 1 assist, and 11 rebounds.

The Brooklyn Nets now have a record of 29-22 this season, it wasn’t a shock that the Nets put up a disappointing performance, and even Steve Nash the Brooklyn Nets head coach agreed on what was lacking in the game, “Our level of play just dropped significantly in the second half. On both sides of the ball, we let guys beat us off the dribble at a much higher rate than we did in the first half. We just didn’t make shots. We didn’t make plays. We looked tired frankly.” Steve Nash mentioned his team being tired and it could be seen in their performance, it was more than just tired legs, but it was a mix of everything.

The Brooklyn Nets after losing to the Sacramento Kings make it a six-game losing streak. It is obvious, that the absence of Kevin Durant has affected the team tremendously, the pressure falls on the shoulders of James Harden and Kyrie Irving, and it should on paper be a win for them against a lowly Sacramento kings team. James Harden in the post-game interview mentioned a few of the problems that the Nets are facing at the moment, “We just got a lot of different things internally, lineups, we haven’t had no continuity yet so …. then we never any continuity you know …yet.” James Harden has never had a six-game losing streak before and said, “I dunno, I’ve never had a six-game losing streak, I do know that.”

Despite the loss, James Harden doesn’t seem to be concerned due to the situation that is in front of them and things won’t instantly get better. James Harden said, “there’s no concern”, and added that the Brooklyn Nets don’t have their entire team.” The fact remains true as the Nets are missing out on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving only available for away games which makes it hard with their absence, when all three are healthy and on the court, they make a vicious offensive combination, but until then James Harden is on his own, and things on both ends of the court will require extra effort to be put in by the remaining team.
