Shaquille O’Neal and Dwayne Wade are legends of the sport who have been around the game for a time long enough to understand the situation and be able to assess it properly in order to give proper inputs and suggestions, but it looks like they now struggle in doing their task as they face an anomaly of a team, the Los Angeles Lakers, who can’t stop losing, and no matter what happens with them, they wont change things for themselves as the team lost another match in their most recent encounter with the Dallas Mavericks after their brutal 28-point loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Just the name lakers and a question regarding the same brought a weird disappointed look on Shaq’s face as he went on to talk about the Lakers’ tragedy of how they have struggled to do the very basic things and fulfill the very basic responsibilities of a team this season, and he also feels that the current roster has somewhat tarnished the image and the legacy of the Los Angeles Lakers, which was that of a great team, and at least a team that never gives up, and with the way things are going for the current roster, they seem to do nothing, other than give up.

Shaquille O’Neal and Dwayne Wade in the Half-Time show on NBA on TNT went on to discuss the state of the Lakers vs Mavericks game during the half time of the match and spoke about the way things had been going for the team, which is a situation they need to put in their all efforts to come out of, though they also highlighted in summary that the team wont even be able to qualify for the playoffs, forget getting their hands at the championships, it now becomes a topic of their pride and not getting the title, and it also becomes a priority for them to at least come out of the 9th-10th spot.

Let us now take a closer look at what Shaquille O’Neal and Dwayne Wade had to say about the Los Angeles Lakers.

Shaquille O’Neal was first asked the question on what he feels about the Lakers, which instantaneously brought a disappointed look on his face, and that, gave a summary of what he was about to say for the team which he thinks are “quitters”.

O’Neal highlighted the need for understanding that any team that comes in to play against the Lakers will put in all of their efforts because of the name the Lakers have built around them, and no matter how young or experienced the player is, they will go all-in in their effort to get the dub. O’Neal further clarified that the Lakers can’t make any excuse for the “Lack of effort” that they were showing and the fans that were booing on them weren’t booing because of their losses, but because of the fact that they had stopped trying to get the wins.

Shaq also said that the team seemed unenthusiastic about their game and their heads weren’t in it, while adding that he doesn’t expect them to even get into the playoffs at this point, which is why, their first priority should be to get out of the flurry of losses that they are in right now, and move up from the 9th-10th position.

Dwayne Wade went on too further continue answering the question which is when he said nothing different, and seemed equally if not more disappointed with the team which should’ve performed way better than they were performing. Wade said that the hated the word “frontrunners” but that is what should be used for the Lakers as they take credits for the losses but fall apart when they are losing and succumb to the pressure.

Wade went on to add that it was now no more about getting the championship and they should take it over their pride that they are losing so terribly and aren’t able to make any changes in the way they are struggling right now. Certain stats further worsened the mood as it was said that the team hadn’t won back-to-back games since the past 20 games and had lost 14 out of their las 20 games which did nothing but made both the players stoop their heads low in shame.

The Lakers seem to be struggling with the “flush it” system that their coach Frank Vogel suggested after their 28-point loss to the Pelicans as they haven’t been able to get over any of their losses to turn the tides around for themselves.
