Celtics News: Jayson Tatum reveals why he passed Tom Brady’s Facetime call
It is not every day’s occurrence that NFL icon Tom Brady decided to give you a Facetime call, but it was the case for Boston Celtics’ marquee Jayson Tatum. And to surprise many, he ended up missing a short chit-chat session with the legendary Quarterback. When Team USA won the Men’s and Women’s Gold Medal at 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he facetimed Warriors’ Center Draymond Green to congratulate the entire team but it wasn’t the case for Tatum.
As expected, the legendary quarterback spoke to majority of the players after their domination in the sport of Olympics yet with Jayson Tatum missing the call, he recently revealed the reason why he missed an opportunity to speak to Tom Brady. To those who are not aware, Tatum and Brady are reported to have a good relationship and speak ‘time to time’

Jayson Tatum on missing Tom Brady’s Facetime call
Lifting the lid on the subject, Tatum simply came clean and said that with most of his teammates in front of him, he figured he would just “text” Brady afterwards to say “what’s up.”
“Draymond was in the back, so I was like 10 rows ahead of him,” Jayson Tatum explained via “The Knuckleheads” podcast. “And I remember Book (Devin Booker) and Zach (LaVine) and all them say ‘what’s up’ to [Brady]. I thought about it, but I might have been on the phone or something. So I was like, ‘Aight, I’ll text him later.’”
Having said that, known to be good friends both Jayson Tatum and Tom Brady are good friends and share a decent bond. Many a times they have publicly be seen praising one another, yet missing a chance to talk to Tom Brady can be deemed rare, unless you are Jayson Tatum.
