“Comeback stronger Ant-Man” Fans sympathies with Anthony Edwards after limping towards locker room during Nets showdown

Anthony Edwards in action against the Nets

In this season the Minnesota Timberwolves showed an exceptional game so far which no one expected from them. All this is possible due to their experience forward Karl-Anthony Towns and rookie guard Anthony Edward who was drafted in the 2020 NBA season. Edward’s explosive dunks and footwork have made him unguardable on the court.

Recently, On Sunday night, the Timberwolves faced the Nets and defeated them by a score of 136-125. Anthony Edward led the scoreboard for the wolves with 25 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists, and 2 steals in just 31 minutes. However, the wolves might have won the match but sadly Edward faces an injury during the last few minutes of the game.

Edwards knee injury has become a new headache for the Timberwolves management as their start to the season was not very impressive, but they gradually keep climbing the ladders one-by-one. Just now when things were going in the right direction, they were seen as the contender of the playoffs, but this unfortunate event might turn the tables for them.

The situation tensed up more when the game ended, and Anthony Edward was seen limping heavily and took support to work in the locker room it is also a possibility that injury might cause him to miss their next match up with the Portland Trail Blazers. Without him in the game, Jaden McDaniels, Taurean Prince, and Josh Okogie should be in line for additional playing time.

The star guard in this season was averaging 22 points per game, grabbing the balls with 5.2 rebounds per game and providing support with 3.2 assists per game. We hope that Edwards recovers from his injury soon and we will see him exploding again on the court against his opponents
