DeMar DeRozan makes NBA history after surpassing Wilt Chamberlain’s long-lasting record in the showdown against the Kings
DeMar DeRozan
DeMar DeRozan has been insane this season for the Chicago Bulls and there is a reason why the NBA fans call him ‘DeMarvelous’. It seems that he is on the mission to grab the records and with this motive, he is achieving something which many NBA stars are still not able to accomplish. Most of the players hit their prime in their 20s but when it comes to DeeBo he has moved to his prime in the 30s which is totally rare.
The five times all-star has made history in the game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. He completed his seven-game streak of scoring more than 35 points with a 50% field goal percentage in all those games. With this, he has become the first player to do so and has surpassed legendary forward Wilt Chamberlain who had a six-game streak with a similar scoring stat.

He was the reason the Kings were struggling and not able to stand back on their feet. Bull Star guard has scored 270 points over the last 7 games and only scored 12 points from 3-pointers.
With this record, DeRozan has created his legacy in the league when he was asked about his new NBA record. Here’s what he replied, “Just to be in the record books along with staples in this basketball history is speechless.”
DeRozan continued, “As a kid, as a fan of the history of the game, being in the league as long as I’ve been in this league — things like that continue to make me even more humble.” He further added, “Being an NBA player and being able to have the privilege to be able to play this long and have these opportunities, man, it’s something I never take for granted. And the crazy thing is I felt like I missed eight easy shots I normally would have made.”
