Youth Basketball Coach Fired
The sport of basketball is tough and competitive sport. Being fierce as well, players and coaches are bound to wear their heart on their sleeve while representing their respective team. Be it in the NBA or at a youth level, players and coaches are encouraged to vouch for their team – in the spirit of the game. But on the latest occasion, it seems like fans are livid with a youth basketball coach who just went on another level.
In a video that went viral, a youth basketball coach who was overseeing a team full of 10-years-old and younger went onto hold the neck of a referee during an on-going game. As a result of which, spectators from the crowd could be heard shouting. The spoken about Coach is reported to represent Cavs Youth U10 Basketball team and let lose all hell upon a foul call made.

Youth Basketball Coach gets fired for setting wrong example
The founder of the Cavs’ organization Darryl McDonald, told TMZ Sports his coach was hit with two technical fouls and then a verbal altercation ensued. McDonald, who was not at the venue at the time of the incident but says he launched a thorough investigation into it all, tells us after a back-and-forth between the coach and the referee, his coach put his hands around the ref’s neck.
McDonald tells us he immediately suspended the head coach, and after a probe into the incident, he ultimately fired the guy on Sunday.
“It was unfortunate,” McDonald said. “Our program has been around for over 30 years and before it even went viral, the coach was no longer part of our program. It’s completely unacceptable to behave that way in front of our youth. There’s no excuse, I don’t care what someone says to you. You have to find a better way to handle that particular situation.”
That being said, no personnel featuring in the video or outside has sustained injuries. But there are criminal charges being persuaded for the same actions on the Youth Basketball Coach.
