When Boston Celtics locked horns with the Washington Wizards in their latest encounter, Jayson Tatum was the obvious threat as he had an astonishing record against the same team. With the Wizards trying to catch up to the away side since the very first quarter, Tatum led the proceedings once again and managed to reach a milestone way before the end of the game. Those who missed the Celtics vs Wizards showdown, Jayson Tatum managed to score 51-points. While many thought that the Celtics’ marquee can manage to score more than 60 points, Mitchell only wanted his friend to ‘Chill’. The intentions of the Boston Celtics were clear, they wanted to make a statement anyhow as the entire team has been under scrutiny for a while.

On one hand where the entire Washington Wizards starters managed to score a tally of 45 points combines. Jayson Tatum single-handedly out-scored all of them with 51-points, surely because of which Donovan Mitchell wanted him to chill out and have some mercy on the opposition.
As the 2021-22 season is approaching the All-Star break, teams need to be aware of their position on the standings. Celtics too, are in a spot of bother being only able to sit in the play-in tournament berth. That being said, the team will be hoping for Jayson Tatum to lead in the same way, especially against big and star-studded teams.

Lastly, the Boston Celtics beat the Washington Wizards by a 29-point deficit and will be locking horns against the Sacramento Kings. Now, being at .500 win ratio, Celtics are only 2-3 wins behind Charlotte Hornets and Philadelphia 76ers.
