Draymond Green Identifies Potential All-Star In The Coming Years, Tells Him To Lose 10-15 Pounds

After their surprise win against the San Antonio Spurs even in the absence of star players, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, the handicapped Warriors team stunned the Spurs and defeated them by a 124-120 margin, surprising the NBA World.

In the absence of main players from the team, the remaining teammates took up the burden, and stepped up to defeat the San Antonio Spurs, and even though Draymond celebrated the victory of his team, he observed and highlighted a potential future All-Star from the opposing team, the Spurs’ Forward Keldon Johnson who scored 21 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds in his 35 minutes on court.

Draymond Green Identifies the Future All-Star in Keldon Johnson

Keldon Johnson who plays on the same position as the Warriors’ Draymond Green has many similarities with the latter, while the position is just one of them.

When Draymond Green started his career in the NBA, he weighed a lot more than he weighs right now, and wasn’t in the best possible shape, while being well equipped on the forward and the backward end of the court, which are one of the few similarities he identifies between him and Keldon Johnson.

Green and Johnson were also selected as late draft picks by Warriors and Spurs at 35^th and 29^th pick overall, respectively.

These were some of the similarities between both the players, but what is also important to notice is that Green and Johnson were close when they played together for team USA in last year’s Tokyo Olympics, winning the Olympics Gold Medal, and have been close ever since then.

Green also advised Keldon Johnson to lose weight, which doesn’t sound like a joke but a well-intended advice from him, as no one understands Johnson’s playing methods better than Green who was in a similar position himself at one point in time, and took off from there after making a few necessary changes, and now he feels that Johnson making those changes will also help his career in taking off, which is something Johnson himself would want.

In his game against the Warriors, Johnson scored 21 points and made himself visible to everyone, including Draymond Green.

Now it will be for us to see if Johnson considers this advice from Draymond and brings about the respective changes.

Spurs vs Warriors, 120-124

In what came out as surprising due to the absence of all their major players, Golden State Warriors stunned the Spurs to win the match played between them both.

Jordan Poole led the way for the Warriors with 31 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds to his name, followed by Damian Lee who scored 21 points, 2 assists and 5 rebounds and Moses Moody who scored 20 points, 1 assist and 7 rebounds.

Dejounte Murray led the way for the Spurs scoring 27 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds, followed by the man Keldon Johnson himself, who scored 21 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds, but their efforts unfortunately weren’t enough, and the Spurs fell short in their quest to win the match.

With 17.9 seconds remaining, Jordan Poole hit a go-ahead 3-pointer landing it in, and taking the short-handed Warriors team to victory, to which Warriors’ Jonathan Kuminga said, “I knew he was going to make it, he missed the first one. Great players don’t miss the second one.” Poole also identified the importance of that shot and said “That was the play that won the game, that was the one that did it. That hustle play, that effort play, especially in such a crucial time.”

The close match resulted in the victory for the shorthanded Warriors team, and also lead to the identification of Potential future All-Star, 22 year old Keldon Johnson by Draymond Green, who everyone hopes live up to the expectations.
