Minnesota Timberwolves marquee Karl Anthony Towns has always been a firm believer in his team’s plan to build a team around him. After being one of the worst teams in the previous season, the Timberwolves can very well go onto seal a direct playoff berth, if they are able to play with the right pace. On the same note, KAT woke up on Monday and decided to fetch himself a massive 60-point game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Not only did he ensure a hard-fought victory against the San Antonio Spurs, 149-139, but Karl Anthony Towns went berserk with insane 60-point explosion. He finished with career high points, alongside 17 rebounds and 3 assists registered against his name. Surely signifying his intentions to attack the Spurs at all costs in this encounter. In the process, he too reached Shaquille O’Neal territory.

The 26-year-old Towns has always said he wants to be one of the iconic big men in NBA history, and he’s certainly on his way. Aside from his dominating performances this season, he also took home the trophy in the Three-Point Shootout during NBA All-Star Weekend.

How contrary and ironic does it sound, that during the early years of Karl Anthony Town’s career, he was soften criticized for soft play and lack of work ethic.

And now, he has aced all of those aspects of his game, only to be one of the best scorers in modern-day NBA. Now, with a record of 39-30, will KAT be able to lead the Timberwolves into the playoffs? Remains to be seen.
