“He certainly earned it” Fox News Anchor Sean Hannity takes a massive dig at LeBron James over ‘Worst Actor’ nomination
LeBron James in Space Jam: A New Legacy
LeBron James has been on a roll for being a 37-year old in today’s game of basketball. Players generally at this age find it hard to keep up with the fast-paced game. LeBron has also been breaking multiple records and is on pace to solidify himself as the greatest player ever.
He is currently averaging 29.1 points with 7.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists on 52.6% shooting from the field. The 19-year veteran went down with a few injuries early on during the season but bounced right back playing even better post-recovery. The only statement people frequently put out is that he will never be enough or fill in the shoes of the legend Michael Jordon
Michael Jordan takes on new heights in pursuit of building his legacy
We know Michael Jordan for being arguably the greatest basketball player ever as well as one of the best trash talkers, a minor league baseball player, and an actor. Jordan took on a role, playing himself in a world-renowned movie called Space Jam.
The story entailed Jordan being abducted by a character named Bugs Bunny from the Looney Tunes and was asked to help them defeat their arch-rivals. The legend’s appearance on television earned the movie franchise $250.2 million (US) in the box office.
MJ was widely regarded for his work on the silver screen and even earned the likings of legendary actors Danny DeVito, Billy West, Wayne Knight, and Theresa Randle who were featured beside the NBA legend. The movie also earned an IMDb rating of 6.5/10 along with multiple award nominations.
LeBron James follows Michael Jordan’s footsteps in honor of his legacy
On 16th July 2021, a sequel to the Space Jam movie titled, Space Jam: A New Legacy was released starring LeBron James. With the movie playing a massive part in the upbringing of many people, the movie was expected to hit.
Unexpected to the world, it turns out many viewers did not like the sequel due to the Los Angeles Lakers veteran atrocious acting skills. Unlike Jordan’s movie, the sequel only managed to earn a grand total of $162.8 million (US) in box office earnings with a 4.4/10 rating on IMDb.
Fox News TV host, Sean Hannity sent out a tweet that highlighted that LeBron James was nominated for the worst actor of the year award. The tweet was captioned, “He certainly earned it.” People may have reacted too harshly as it was the King’s first time acting in a movie.
Problems seem to be on the rise for King James on and off the court. With the trade deadline just around the corner, many feel that LeBron needs to surround himself with the right weapons and equipment for a shot at the title and to flip the story of the Lakers over.
