LeBron James

LeBron James shook up the world with back-to-back sequences of masterful plays in his “home city” of Cleveland, a team he was a part of for quite a lot of time. The city which calls him their own witnessed his magic yet again, the magic that was seen in the Cavaliers era of James, also referred to as his golden era or peak, which people often said would never come back again. But LeBron is a different breed, it becomes his duty to prove the naysayers and the haters wrong every time he steps on the court, and that doesn’t only happen in his home court of LA but everywhere else that he goes to play.

This time, it happened in the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the home arena of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James’ homecoming in Cleveland during the NBA All Star Weekend wasn’t an ample amount of time for the fans to cheer on him, and therefore, James had to put on a show for his fans in Cleveland once again, and he did it in style. The homecourt advantage showed as James was seen back in the Cleveland era form, hitting back-to-back buckets, leaving the crowd in awe of the sight he put up. The worst part being, the Cavaliers fans seemed more excited about James putting on a show, and filled the arena loud roaring and cheers in the support of a player that was entirely dismantling their team and their defence.

Well, not James’ fault that the Cavaliers fans are still in denial and can’t get over the fact that LeBron doesn’t play for them anymore.

LeBron put on a show in Cleveland with 38 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, adding another triple-double to his name as the Lakers cruised past the Cavaliers with a 11-point victory margin. Let us now take a closer look at this sequence where James scored back-to-back buckets, leaving the crowd cheering for him against their own home team.

LeBron James receives the ball and is guarded heavily by the home team’s defence with nowhere for him to go or pass the ball, he keeps it close to himself for a while and with around 5 seconds remaining on the shot clock, James drives inside and hits a fadeaway 2-pointer as it goes in and the crowd goes crazy!
