Michael Beasley is still regarded as the best freshman college basketball player of the 2000’s as his records and unique game-style is still loud enough to speak for itself. He was drafted as second overall in the 2008 National Basketball Association’s Draft by the Miami Heat and even made it to the All-Rookie first team. But not really living up-to the expectations of someone drafted that high Michael after shifting boards around 7 times and even league today finds himself without a team.

Michael since 2008 as played for Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves. But never really got trusted enough with the ball and even the contract as he never really played for a same team for more than two years and has no home to trust in the league. He is a left hand shooter who can do it all as being a 6 ft. 9 inches big forward he was also good at rebounding, shooting and sometimes playmaking which has resulted in registering many important wins.

Michael is a 33 year old veteran as his career continues so in reference to it when the interviewer asked him that is there still gas left in him to hoop in the league. Replying to it he confidently Beasley quoted: “I’m better than I’ve ever been. The last three years, 100 percent, I wish I could’ve been playing basketball at some level. One thing that it’s done for me is it’s given me a chance to remember who I am, fall in love with that person again, and teach him how to play basketball and learn from what he’s learned over the years. These last three years, I’ve just been perfecting my craft on every level on both sides of the ball.”

Further when the interviewer asked Beasley a intellectual questions of ‘Why a team should sign you?’. Replying to it Michael said: “One, my scoring ability, which everybody knows. I think my mindset has never been put on display. I know the game so well on both sides of the ball. I want to show people that I can play defense, and I’m not just a scorer. I can impact the game in so many different ways.” The recent video of him training and practicing with stars like Bam Adebayo, Donovan Mitchell, PJ Tucker, James Harden, Jonathan Kuminga, Desmond Bane, James Bouknight, Tre Mann, and Isaiah Todd under Ronnie Taylor at Taylor Sports has him as a changed and better player.

Michael also has a real shot on getting back in the league as many teams need a veteran like him as they are short-handed and are giving away 10-day contracts. In regard of the contract appreciating his friends getting a chance he added how it motivates him while saying: “I’m waiting for a call, and when it comes, I’ll be ready.” Michael was already gifted with a comeback as the Brooklyn Nets wanted him to play for them at the Bubble but food poisoning which later turned out to be COVID-19 ruined his chance in the year 2020. Now with three years of improvement and crafting the game in a better way and going through the process again while trusting it Michael looks ready as he is in shape and playing some great basketball to hop back in the league. The veteran now aims at just getting a chance to prove all of those haters wrong and shut them down as his search for a franchise to trust him continues.
