Dennis Rodman affirmed his three-decade devoted love for Montecristo Cigars which he received as a gift from a North Korean dictator during a visit to the hostile state. Former Bulls and Detroit star is well known for his unique style, unapologetic gestures, and weirdness which is rare to see in the superstar players who have been in the NBA.

Just like him, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is also one of the weirdest geopolitical leaders in the world, his uncanny laws in the state like only government-approved haircuts, students are required to pay for their own desks and chairs, & strict costume rules has made his image as an eccentric leader in the international politics.

But it seems Kim and Worm’s strangeness has brought them together. When Rodman made his first visit to the totalitarian country in 2013, he called the dictator “a friend for life”.

In 2013 when Rodman returned to the US and gave an interview to Sports Illustrated, he said, “My mission is to break the ice between hostile countries. Why it’s been left to me to smooth things over, I don’t know. Dennis Rodman, of all people. Keeping us safe is really not my job; it’s the black guy’s [Obama’s] job. But I’ll tell you this: If I don’t finish in the top three for the next Nobel Peace Prize, something’s seriously wrong.”

We all know Rodman never promotes any particular brand until he really likes it from his heart but in a recent interview with GQ Sports. The Worm wasted no time in pulling out his prized box of Montecristo Cigars and praised it, while he even urged viewers to visit N. Korea and get these packets of Cigars.

He said, “[As a] matter of fact, you can even go to North Korea and get em! Because he [Kim Jong-Un] gave me 7 boxes one day and I brought them back. And they were very delicious, very moist and very pure.”

Certainly, Rodman is a big addict to cigars, his addiction started in 1994 when he was in severe depression and was finding a way to move on. Cigars helped him to make his sense more calm and composed.
