Michael Jordan the greatest basketball player in the NBA is always in the discussion whether it’s the fans, the media or the NBA’s analysts. Revering him with this title doesn’t just sit with his fans but even the current and the previous NBA players remark him on his unmatched legacy.
Followed by millions across the world this name has been marked in the book of history and would be remembered generations across. Having played with Michael Jordan many of his teammates and his rivals often bring him to the conversations of how tough of a guy he was and how he always had a winning mentality.
With his winning mentality, Jordan once said, “I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying. I’ve always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
In the discussion of the same, one such NBA player who has been a rival to Jordan in the past talked about how he always brought a winning mentality to his teammates.
Charles Barkley slams Shaquille O’Neal for questioning his Houston Rockets run
To discuss the individual highlights of their career the “Inside the NBA” crew appeared on the “Through the Wire Show” broadcasted on the YouTube channel. The three panel-lists Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith shared the seat on the show.
Not having won a single NBA title Shaq and Smith mocked Charles when he spoke about his stint with the Houston Rockets.

Hurling back to the same Barkley said, “We didn’t know Scottie Pippen wasn’t going to bring Michael Jordan with him. But Hakeem and Clyde were 102 years old. So stop it, Kenny. Yeah, well, I played with some of the old great players, not great players in their prime. You got Hakeem in his prime and I got him when he was prime rib.”
It was early 2000 when Barkley played for the Houston Rockets. He stayed with the franchise from 1996 to 2000. He got desperate to win the NBA title when he was merely at the end of his career. He joined the Rockets post when the franchise bragged about having two NBA greats in the team.
However later Scottie Pippen joined the franchise in 1998. Having won one championship with the Chicago Bulls alongside the six-times champion Michael Jordan Scottie Pippen added to the franchise but sadly was not much help to Barkley. Through his continuous efforts, Barkley didn’t have his NBA title and was left with zero titles to his name.
