Zion Williamson made quite the entrance into the league having draft day comparisons to LeBron James and being called a freak of nature. The New Orleans Pelicans had drafted the player first overall during the 2019 NBA drafted as they were in desperate need of help and they believed Zion was perfect to fill the empty space.
The New Orleans Pelicans power forward would put up incredible numbers for the team but the team still could not generate wins as much as they did with losses. He averaged 22.5 points with 2.1 assists and 6.3 rebounds after making a late debut during his rookie season and then made a leap to 27 points with 3.7 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game playing 33.2 minutes no average.

Zion Williamson has always struggled with injuries due to his enormous size and lack of ability to control his movements. The player is currently 330 pounds which is 70 pounds heavier than his required weight. Williamson has been labelled as the heaviest player in the league despite being much shorter than most centers and players like Boban Marjanovic and Tacko Fall.
The player has been criticized for his excessive eating habits by many analyst and staff within the league. One specific person to whom fans always turn towards for hilarious comments is none other than the great Charles Barkley. Barkley commented on Zions weight saying, ”If it tastes good, spit it out.”

Zion Williamson yet to make season debut
The New Orleans Pelicans had sit out Zion Williamson after he suffered a fractured right foot during the offseason. ESPN released a statement made by the Pelicans earlier in December saying, “After experiencing persistent soreness in his right foot, Zion Williamson underwent medical imaging which showed a regression in the bone healing of his fifth metatarsal. As a result, the volume and intensity of his training will be reduced for an extended period to help allow for further bone healing.”
According to an update as recent after 5th January 2021, Zion is currently going through rehabilitation away from the team in Portland and his return remains uncertain. Many critics have blames Zion’s weight for his injuries had the legs carry a big part of the body’s mass. He will have to get back in shape and fit in the ideal description in order to stay away from avoidable injuries.
