“I’m all in on the Nets” JJ Redick backs up Kyrie Irving’s claims of a different form post All-Star Break; Reiterates “just watch”
JJ Redick and Kyrie Irving
JJ Redick has been evidently supportive of the Brooklyn Nets despite of the form and the controversies the team has been in lately, which was highlighted even when the ex-NBA player was live on the NBA Today show, to stand by his support of the team and the comments of Kyrie Irving which he gave during a twitch live stream. With what was said by Kyrie asking everyone to “Just Watch” the whole Nets’ team after the All-Star Break, JJ Redick seemed highly supportive of Irving’s opinions as he absolutely mimicked those claims and provided some interesting statistics to back up his support for the fan favourite Brooklyn Nets.
JJ Redick on the NBA Today panel took a look at Kyrie Irving’s statements in a twitch live stream about how confident he is in the Brooklyn Nets’ odds to win the Eastern Conference and even the NBA title, and seemed supportive of those claims as he had different reasons and propositions to back it up. While the other panelists didn’t seem highly supportive of Redick’s assumptions, it seemed as if he was able to convince them to some extent and managed to keep the hopes of the Brooklyn Nets alive in some way or the other.
Let us now take a closer look at the Panel’s discussion about Kyrie Irving’s comments, its implications and what the panel expects from Brooklyn Nets which are coming right out of a shaky ride before the NBA All-Star weekend as the team struggled to maintain the form they gained post a 11-match losing streak.
JJ Redick confident in Brooklyn Nets’ abilities to win a title, has aligned opinions with Kyrie Irving
The NBA Today panel with JJ Redick was analysing statements made by Kyrie Irving on a twitch stream where Irving asked everyone to “Just watch” the Brooklyn Nets’ team and their form once they would be back from the All-Star Break after which he seemingly believed that they would be tough to beat and would potentially win the NBA Title this year. Irving repeatedly asked everyone to just watch the team and was very confident in their abilities to turn the tides around for themselves.

JJ Redick waws asked to give his opinions on Irving’s statements as he was the one who had always been supportive to the Brooklyn Nets’ team despite the bad run, they have been having since the past few months in which they have struggled.
In response to the question, Redick seemed confident and said “I’m in on the Nets” while also laying out certain conditions that need to be focused on before giving the verdict on their future, the most important of which being the Vaccination status of Kyrie Irving and if he would be able to play all the games unlike the current scenario where he plays only away games and the health of Kevin Durant who is currently injured.
Other than that, Redick also highlighted that the combination of Ben Simmons fits perfectly with all the players in the Brooklyn Nets and the trio would be perfect to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo or even Joel Embiid who have been in great form and have had impenetrable performances which are a big issue for other teams.
Redick felt that the trust of the fans was also in the Brooklyn Nets as it was evident from the stat that Brooklyn Nets along with the Milwaukee Bucks were the favourites to get their hands at the title despite of Nets being at the 8th position currently.
Redick ended his opinion while highlighting that he agreed with whatever Kyrie Irving said and despite all the terms and conditions associated with them, it would be fun to watch the team play after the All-Star Break in their full force.
Brooklyn Nets this season
The Brooklyn Nets team have had a rollercoaster ride this season with a multitude of ups and downs all along their path to this point where they are close to qualifying for the playoffs. The team initially seemed to have an invincible run which made others believe that it would be tough to beat the BIG 3 Brooklyn.
During the James Harden trade controversy along with Irving’s vaccine fiasco also adding Kevin Durant’s injury ridden late season, the team have struggled to find any sort of form as they also went on a 11-match losing streak.
After the addition of the players from the Philadelphia 76ers, it will be exciting to watch how the team plays at its full strength and how they are able to turn the tides around for themselves.
