The Memphis Grizzlies have arguably been one of the most controversial teams this season. Although they are among the top 3 teams in the tightly contested Western Conference, their season hasn’t progressed without drama and flak. It all started off last year when Ja Morant pulled off the ‘griddy dance’ move in the playoffs against the Warriors. The Grizzlies transitioned from being among the most loved teams to one of the most hated teams in the league.
This year, it started off thanks to guard Dillon Brooks’ tendencies to repeatedly get into fights with opponent players and was followed by Ja Morant’s, “I’m fine in the West,” comment.
The Grizzlies’ season hasn’t progressed greatly since and a recent Ja Morant controversy made things worse. Morant was seen flashing a gun at a nightclub on his Instagram live. The Colorado Police immediately intervened and Morant currently has been suspended by the league.
Is Ja Morant playing tonight against the Warriors?
The Grizzlies will host the Golden State Warriors tonight and this will be the 2 teams’ third encounter this season. The Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant, who is currently facing a 2 game suspension after an alleged controversy. Morant was seen flashing a gun at a nightclub in Colorado.
The Warriors will feature Steph Curry who’s returning after an injury he encountered in January. This will be Curry’s third game post his return. The Warriors have won on both the previous occasions against the Grizzlies this season and will be looking forward to a clean sweep.

Where does Ja Morant play?
Morant is one of the most athletic and agile players in the league today. He is a showstopper known for his jaw-dropping dunks and acrobatic finishes at the rim. A 6’3 athlete, Morant, like most of the players of his size plays the Point Guard.
Point Guards are usually the primary ball handlers of a team and are required to run the floor, initiate plays and dish out dimes. Notable Point Guards include Stephen Curry, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Chris Paul etc. Morant has drawn several comparisons to former MVP Derrick Rose because of their athletic playstyle.

Morant has been sidelined for two games at least after the superstar posted an image holding a firearm in a nightclub early Saturday morning. Fantasy owners should expect Tyus Jones to slot into the starting lineup and could be a sneaky add while the league continues the investigation involving Morant.
