Irving stated that he would have felt differently if he thought Brooks had caused his injury deliberately. He felt that Brooks was merely trailing him and his feet got tangled up in his, resulting in his ankle getting twisted.

Irving is eager to return to his home in Dallas to begin his recovery work, rest, and do everything possible to prepare for the next game. He is determined to explore all available options to be ready to play and help his team succeed in their playoff aspirations.
