“Just Crazy”- Twitter reacts to LeBron James being 92 assists away from Mega Career Triple-double
LeBron James
LeBron James grabbed his 10,000th career rebound Wednesday night to become only the 42nd NBA player in history to do so. LeBron now has 10,002 rebounds. He is just behind his teammate DeAndre Jordan who also has 10,000+ rebounds. The King now has 30,000+ points, 10,000+ rebounds and 9,000+ assists, the only member of this 30k/10k/9k club.
The Los Angeles Lakers took another loss, this time to the 5th worst team in the league, the Indian Pacers. The Lakers lost 104-111 at home on Wednesday night. They remain the 8th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-23 record for the season. The Pacers are 16-29 for the season and are 3rd worst team in the Eastern Conference.

For the Lakers, LeBron James had yet another 30 point performance supported by 12 rebounds and five assists. Russell Westbrook had 14 points, going 5-14 from the field but surprisingly, 4-6 from downtown. Talen Horton Tucker scored 20 points off the bench on an efficient 9-14 shooting while dishing out seven assists and blocking two shots. Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk added 14 and 10 points respectively.

LeBron James is close to breaking and creating several records
LeBron James is now just 92 assists away from his career’s mega triple-double. Upon completing these 92 assists, LeBron will have 30k points, 10k assists, and 10k rebounds, a record that will be incredibly hard for any player to break or even come close to in the future.
LeBron is eyeing his 5th NBA championship this season, but that ship seems to be sinking upon the looks of the season thus far. He has many more records that he can break. King James is 609 points away from Karl Malone’s 36,928 career points and 2,068 points away from Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s all-time record of 38,387 points. At 28.8 PPG this season, Karl Malone’s number is very much in LeBron’s sight.
LeBron fans have already started hailing him as the ‘GOAT’ on Twitter as his mega triple-double is now even closer:
