“Keep this energy going”- Stephen Curry gives an inspiring locker room speech after breaking all time 3-point record

Stephen Curry
The Golden State Warriors star player Stephen Curry on Tuesday night broke the record of Ray Allen to become the NBA’s all-time leader in 3 point shots. Knocking 2974th three of his career in the match against the New York Knicks, Curry surpassed the Hall of Famer Ray Allen with a win score 105-96 on the final board.
The fact wasn’t unnoticed that he’ll break the record in the first quarter itself. As from the beginning Curry was in the rhythm. The final shot came with 7 minutes and 33 seconds left in the first quarter, when Curry made a fast “pick and shoot” three on a right wing pass from Andrew Wiggins. Following a quick foul and a Warriors timeout Curry got his chance to enjoy the moment.

Talking about his achievement in the post-game interview Curry said “It was a beautiful ending to this last week. The build-up to getting this number, it was a special atmosphere. I knew the Garden would deliver just in terms of how iconic this place is — I can’t say it enough, I appreciate so much the way the fans embraced the moment with me and let me kind of get lost in it. I could feel it. Once I took the shot on the wing, it just felt good, looked good — it felt like we were at home.”
“It was a special moment, for sure, that I appreciate and I’ll remember for the rest of my life, in terms of what it means to me to pass Ray,” Curry added. “Him and Reggie Miller, guys I’ve looked up to coming into the game. Definitely special.”

Stephen Curry addressed an inspiring speech to his teammates in the locker room
Celebrating in the locker room after the game, Curry was put on an ice bath and was encouraged for his achievement by his teammates. Having his team to support him so much Curry didn’t hesitate to give an appreciation speech.

Curry said “Guys,” Curry said. “I don’t have much to say except I appreciate everybody that’s had a part in me being who I am on the court and off the court. Like, this is a career milestone because everybody I got to suit up with; everybody that set screens for me; everybody that passed me the ball; everybody that believed in our offense and believed in winning and the process. This is truly special, man.
“We got a lot more 3s. A lot more wins. A lot more stuff to go. But I appreciate y’all making this special because this has been a long week getting over this milestone (laughs). Having Reggie and Ray here was special, but nothing more special than everybody in this locker room. Let’s keep this energy going.”

As for now Curry sits alone with his title and is being debated to be the only title in the NBA history that can’t be broken further. Well, it would be pretty interesting to see who in the later generation can surpass the “Best Shooter in the NBA History”, Stephen Curry, who is arguably believed to be the God’s one and only creation.
