When a fan talks about the G.O.A.T of basketball, Kevin Durant and LeBron James are surely one of the several candidates. With both these players having their separate legacies, KD was attacked by Chicago Bulls’ great Scottie Pippen when he stepped foot on the line while deciding the Bucks vs Nets Game 7 in last season’s playoffs. Fans would be aware, that the former MVP gave his all against a star-studded Bucks’ squad but landed an inch short.

With Durant stepping just on the line while knocking a clutch shot, a step behind the line could have sent the Brooklyn Nets to the Conference Finals. Moreover, it would have added to the legacy of Durant, who single-handedly fought against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton led Bucks. So, when Scottie Pippen decided to differentiate between KD and LeBron James, the former star was ready to have none of it.

Why did Kevin Durant bash Scottie Pippen? 

With Scottie Pippen’s interview coming onto the feed of Kevin Durant, the latter could not surely hesitate to hold back his thoughts. As a result of which he decided to launch his own attack on MJ’s Robin. 

With Milwaukee Bucks vs Brooklyn Nets game was overtaken by Giannis in OverTime. While Durant found himself helpless without Kyrie Irving, there is no denying that the former OKC great gave his all.

That being said, KD surely gave a mouth-shutting reply to Scottie Pippen. While LeBron James has had his own great moments, the former MVP has had his say in the Final series as well, which most certainly Pippen seemed to had forgotten. Now as the 2021-22 season commenced, Durant once again seems to be in the mix of top MVP candidates, but will he be able to outright such criticism coming his way? Remains to be seen as Durant is currently ruled out due to an injury. Will the Brooklyn Nets be able to hold onto their playoff berth until their superstar return? Only time will unravel all answers.
