Kevin Durant to miss 75th Anniversary Team celebration
To those who are not aware, the NBA is scheduled to honor its 75th Anniversary Team during the halftime of the All-Star Game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. Kevin Durant made the list alongside his Nets head coach Steve Nash and former teammate James Harden, who is now with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Kevin Durant was also selected to be an All-Star and was voted as the captain of his team. Unfortunately, he has been side lined due to a sprained MCL, forcing him to back out of the game. He was replaced by Jayson Tatum as a starter for the contest against Team LeBron.
That being said, it is an unfortunate turn of events and hopefully Kevin Durant could cope up with the loss in time as the 2021-22 season’s is about to pick up pace when the next round of games starts. Lastly, with KD not there, he would be hoping that his team could surely come out on top and beat the favorites Team LeBron in the showdown on Sunday in Cleveland. Without him, it is obviously going to be tough, but with the likes of Embiid and Morant among other stars, all hopes will be up.
For now, all fans and media could do is give Kevin Durant his much-wanted privacy as his family would need to mourn the loss of a loved one.
