Kyrie Irving gets 100% honest on New York’s COVID-19 vaccine rules, attending home games

Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving has been the most criticized player so far the season. As his decision of staying unvaccinated brings him to the headlines every other day. He was completely shut-downed by the team due to New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. But months ago the Brooklyn Nets decided to bring him back in action as a part-time player for the team. Kyrie Irving is now allowed to play in all away games except the home games which take place at Barclays Arena in New York. But with time passing there are fair chances of the city lifting up the vaccine mandate and having the All-Star guard back playing at his home arena.

Recently, the Orlando Magic hosted the Brooklyn Nets at Amway Center. The game was a pure show of domination by the Nets especially on the offensive end. As the defensive end of the Orlando Magic was left completely speechless spectating the Nets run the rally down. The final box score stands at 108-150 favoring the Brooklyn Nets. A 42 points embarrassing loss for the Magics. Currently, the Brooklyn Nets under the leadership of Kevin Durant and part-time Kyrie Irving are ranked as the 8th seed in the eastern conference with the record of 36 wins and 33 losses at .522.

Kyrie Irving gets the most credits for the win in the game. As setting a new franchise record for the most points scored in a game he dropped 60 points (career-high) while also adding 4 assists and 6 rebounds to it. He was godlike as he showcased his scoring greats while none expected him to after witnessing the drama at Barclays Center and also the mad exchange between Kevin Durant and the Mayor in regards to him getting vaccinated.

In the post-game after destroying the Orlando Magic with a performance to remember for a lifetime. Kyrie Irving replying to the reporters regarding the vaccine rules and ongoing drama with him being allowed at the home arena but still not being able to play, showcases confidence on lifting up of the rules. He believes it’s just a matter of some days and then the rule would be gone and he’ll be hooping back at his home arena. Kyrie Irving also joking around said he’ll be wearing a media pass for the next game so he has to answers no questions and has easy access everywhere.

With Kyrie Irving being allowed back at Barclays Arena to play will boost up the Brooklyn Nets in every positive list and rankings the league has to offer. Him returning as a full-time player alongside Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons who is expected to make his season debut around the playoffs the chances of the Nets lifting the championship up goes higher than ever. The James Harden trade has also added more depth and core to the roster of the team. So Kyrie Irving’s returns will impact the league with a major blow as the Nets would probably be the most dominant team in the league.
