It is no hidden truth from the world that LeBron James and Co. are struggling to have a consistent footing this season. With every step, the LA Lakers are either pressed down again by injuries or their fragmented plays.
The Lakers have assembled some of the biggest names in the NBA but still have failed to perform on the court. They are struggling to string more than two wins consecutively. The people who have put their dibs on Lakers are obviously not happy. Being named as top contenders for this season’s trophy was calculated solely on the basis of what the Lakers roster comprises. A team that has two former MVP is struggling to even stay at the surface against teams that are newly formed is not only a piece of devastating news for the Lakers franchise but for the NBA league as well because their superstars are tanking.
After last night’s match seems to have broken all hell over the Lakers. It is not about how the roster is unable to find chemistry but now it is questioning the credibility of players like LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.

The LA Lakers went up against the Memphis Grizzlies last night at the FedEx Forum. Now records being considered the Lakers were the predictable winners of the match as their Head to head in the last two seasons in seven matches has been 6-1, and the one match that the Grizzlies won was back in the 2019-20 season.
But yesterday’s night recited another story. The Lakers are one of the most decorated teams this season and their court performance is opposite of that, and this condition is not acceptable by the former Lakers big man Kwame Brown.
Kwame Brown was the first pick of his draft in 2001 by the Washington Wizards due to his heavy built. Brown’s career hasn’t been illustrious. He was ridiculed under “one of NBA Draft busts” when he failed to do what other former pick 1 did.
In a video posted online, Kwame is seen stating how appalling it has been to watch LA Lakers lose to teams against whom they should have come out with flying colors, and crucial it is for the Lakers to get a leader like Kobe Bryant who’ll be after them for their mistakes. He said, “So they keep this storyline with the Lakers that’s really not a storyline—they suck.”
He continued saying, “That’s some of the stuff, man RIP Kobe, one thing about Kobe he didn’t do the type of friendly shit with you after a loss like that. When he sees you again, your ass better is on the court. You better not be in the training room. You better not be getting your ankles taped. You need to be out there shooting some shots or Kobe going to be on you.”
Kwame further added how there has been a lack of leadership in the Lakers. He added, “That’s what I think the Lakers are missing. They’re missing that leadership. Everyone’s so friendly, they’re slapping hands. That’s one thing about Kobe. He’ll be your friend sometimes. But when you’re not doing your job, he’ll be on you.”
It is no surprise that Kobe Bryant’s love and dedication to Basketball is well known. His competitive spirit would not let anyone get ahead of him, and that is what differentiated him from the crowd.
The Lakers nation has done nothing but hopes that the roster would turn the tables someday considering their individual skills it shouldn’t be a problem. But it’s Basketball everything condenses to the team effort at the end.
