LaVar Ball responds to ESPN ban by taking shot at Molly Qerim
Molly Qerim and LaVar Ball
There shouldn’t be any discussion about naming LaVar Ball as the most iconic dad in the NBA. Known as the one of the most vocal spokespersons for his sons, LaVar has been banned from all ESPN platforms following his controversial response on host Molly Qerim where he was a guest at ‘First-Take’. However, as things have always been, it hasn’t affected the swag of LaVar at all.
Now, to discuss the controversial moment of LaVar Ball, he was on the ESPN show alongside hosts, Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim. The panel was discussing the trade of Lonzo Ball to New Orleans Pelicans as a part of a package which saw Anthony Davis joining forces with King James. Juts when Qerim and Smith asked Ball to switch gear. To which he responded by stating, “You can switch gears with me anytime” a response which surely did not go well with Molly Qerim by any mean.

What was opinionated by LaVar Ball on Molly Qerim?
After the particular show got over, ESPN made sure that LaVar was evidently told about his inappropriate comment. To which he responded by justifying that he did not mean it in any sexual way to either of the host. LaVar Ball still stands by his words and moreover, even decided to choose some new words for Molly Qerim.
Now, fans who’ve watched the episode had mixed reactions about the controversial segment. Others are saying that LaVar indeed made an inappropriate statement towards Qerim. While the rest are saying that there was nothing wrong with what he said.
Having said that, LaVar needs no ‘known’ platform to make his views. Be it his social media posts, or general remarks, the most iconic dad in the league is aware of the way to make a name for himself, especially when talking about either of his three sons.
Lastly, since that controversial statement, ESPN hasn’t changed their stance on Ball Sr. As he hasn’t been on any ESPN show. But, safe to say, surely LaVar hasn’t made due of the chances he has had.
