NBA Legend Isiah Thomas reveals his advice to Victor Oladipo

The past season has not been the best for Indiana Pacers’ Victor Oladipo. He was side-lined for majority of the regular season but had returned just in time for the race of playoffs. In which Oladipo was far from his best by a huge margin. As a result, to which Pacers did not qualify for the playoffs.
NBA Legend Isiah Thomas revealed his advice given to Oladipo. He emphasised how he wished Oladipo the best of luck for his career. There is no greater spirit than to see the senior players patting the back of a young prospect.
Thomas said, “I think Oladipo is going to have a great year you know, when he’s healthy. I was worried about him when he came back this year because I didn’t think he was healthy enough and you know, as an elder in the league I called him and I texted him.
“And I just said, ‘I know you’re anxious, but make sure that you’re really healthy because you’ve got a great career ahead of you.
“And I hope during this period of time he can fully heal, because when he’s fully healed and healthy, he’s one of the best backcourt players in the game.”

Victor Oladipo moving away from Indiana Pacers?

Every second there were speculations of Oladipo being traded away from the Pacers but those have somewhat taken a back seat now. Oladipo has struggled with lingering issues. He was side-lined for most of the 2019-20 season due to injury troubles. Although he returned just in time for the Playoffs, he was far from 100%.
As a result, the Pacers faced another early elimination from the postseason. That led to rumors suggesting Oladipo’s future is uncertain with the franchise. But with a new Head Coach, Oladipo might wait before making any rash decisions.
But now the decision is in the hands of the player himself whether he wants to continue and build with the same franchise. Or perhaps use his talent alongside a strong contender for the 2020-21 Championship.
