Magic Johnson calls out LeBron James, Lakers after embarrassing 37-point blowout

Magic Johnson is the best point guard in the history of the league, who himself is a Los Angeles Lakers’ legend and a Hall of Famer but as of now isn’t really happy with the current team and their status around the league when it comes to win and deliver as expected. The Los Angeles Lakers this season have been consistently inconsistent in delivering the expectations everyone has from them as the veteran team is again falling short while standing on a three games loosing streak. LeBron James this offseason with the front desk hand-picked his veteran roaster who isn’t really living up to the expectations which were drawn on the paper as the results are far different from what everyone around initially thought.

The Los Angeles Lakers are currently ranked as the 7th seed in the western conference with the record of 21 wins and 22 losses at .500 after they fell short again. Recently the Denver Nuggets hosted the Los Angeles Lakers at Ball Arena and were successful in handing out a embarrassing blowout loss to the Lakers as the final score is 133-96 a 37 points blowout defeat. Los Angeles Lakers were once again lacking behind with team chemistry and every other aspect necessary to win a basketball game as they added another loss to their record. LeBron James again seemed out of help as playing for 31 minutes he dropped 25 points, 2 assists and 9 rebounds while having only two more players scoring double digit compared to the seven players of Denver Nuggets.

After the halftime the game just went away from the Los Angeles Lakers and a defeat was sure as the Nuggets were better in every aspect of the game compared to LeBron James’ Lakers. Nikola Jokic even stepped up as he grabbed a triple double with a 37 point victory against the Lakers. Every one on the purple and yellow board had a tough and rough time while shooting the ball as the team shot 33.3% from downtown and 43.9% inside the arc and oftentimes turned the ball over while not really playing much of strong defence to break the offensive chain of the Nuggets.

Magic Johnson isn’t really happy with the Los Angeles Lakers this season as this isn’t the first time he has shown his criticism towards the team. As the Los Angeles Lakers fell short against the Denver Nuggets, Magic took his criticism and frustration to Twitter as in a tweet from his personal handle he quoted: “After being blown out by the Nuggets 133-96, we as @Lakers fans can accept being outplayed but we deserve more than a lack of effort and no sense of urgency. Owner @JeanieBuss, you deserve better.”

Magic wasn’t happy with the results at all and the tweet seemed like a message to the owner to make some quick changes in the roaster if she wants the Lakers to have a good mad run this season. Everything the Hall of Famer quoted was very right as fans around the globe are also not happy with the results and feel cheated as the team keeps falling short again and again with silly mistakes related to chemistry and decision making. It is high time for the Lakers to either improve or make some big changes in the roaster if they want to see himself have a long run in the playoffs as it doesn’t really looks that hard for a team to take them down in a 7 game series. We may soon now see the front office of Lakers get active as Magic Johnson is really a great advisor for the team as the history speaks for itself.
