The Phoenix Suns have been best team since the beginning of the 2021-22 NBA Season. Having demolished each star-studded roster, game after game, the Suns have booked their numero uno berth in the West but have been frequently dominated by Denver Nuggets in the past. The most recent Suns vs Nuggets clash saw Jeff Green and Chris Paul getting into a heated altercation, after which the former tried getting into the opposition locker room.

There are reports that Denver Nuggets’ players and staffers had to hold back Jeff Green from barging into the Phoenix Suns locker room on Thursday. The animosity from Jeff Green came from a collision with Chris Paul during the game. Wherein the veteran guard decided to stop in-front of the Nuggets scorers, comprising of the victim to take a cheap shot.

Nuggets’ Jeff Green not letting go off Chris Paul after heated altercation

The Phoenix Suns swept the Denver Nuggets during the 2021 playoffs and just won the third and final meeting this season, taking the season series, 2-1. Afterwards, Nuggets coach Michael Malone spoke of the confrontation as well as the growing rivalry, captured by Mile High Sports’ TJ McBride.

A lot of words are being spoken and some people take offense to what is being said and; obviously, they swept us last year in the playoffs… I think there is definitely some animosity, but that is what this time of year should be about… This time of year, it should be every possession matters, every quarter matters, every game matters, and with that comes physicality, aggression and some people may not like that or be comfortable with that.” 

Jeff Green’s frustration was evident on camera even when he wanted to go after Chris Paul. That being said, after this loss, the Nuggets are only one win ahead of Minnesota Timberwolves, who have caught consistent form during the second half of the 2021-22 season. On the other hand, the Suns have got their veteran Chris Paul back from injury, and looking to thrive their way back to the NBA Finals, even in the 2021-22 season, to finally lift the silverware.
