Dwayne Wade bids farewell to Staples Center
Many former as well as active players have had mesmerizing memories in the Staples Center, one of which is Future Hall of Famer Dwayne Wade. The 39-years-old former Heat’s player reveals how the iconic stadium in Los Angeles holds a special place in his heart. Recently, Wade made his last return to the Staples Center only to post an emotional farewell message on his social media account.
To those who are unaware, the Staples Center recently struck a massive naming rights deal worth a record-breaking $700 million that will see its name changed to Crypto.com Arena. This shocking turn of events apparently also entails a major renovation with many ‘upgrades’.

“Staples Center thank you for all the memories! What a memory this last one was,” Dwayne Wade wrote on his instagram whilst posting pictures of him in the stadium.
Having said that the Staples Center has some time to host the festivity of the NBA 2021-22 Season and the upcoming match to be staged in its boundaries, will be the city rivals – Los Angeles Lakers vs Los Angeles Clippers epic showdown.
Dwayne Wade being one of the many who will be sad as Staples Center losses its identity, it is indeed sad to see a veteran stage being renamed and redeveloped. Having said that, it is only going to mark the new era for the team and the city. Hopefully, it is a good one!
