Stephen Curry puts up an MVP performance against Houston
The Golden State Warriors were hosted by the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Centre, and the game didn’t disappoint at all. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 122-108. Stephen Curry dropped 40-points on the Rockets, out of which he scored 21-points in the final quarter of the game and received an MVP ovation.
Stephen Curry scored just 19-points when they played Brooklyn Nets in their previous fixture, they won the match against the Nets, but it was a decent night for Steph Curry, the performance he put up against the Houston Rockets made the fans chant ‘MVP’ for Stephen Curry as he came out with 40-points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds. Houston Rockets last played Golden State Warriors where they threw everything at them to grind out a win. The Rockets did it again to come back from trailing 15-points to make it a tough win for the warriors.
Stephen Curry Haunts the Rockets
Stephen curry was having a good game before he exploded in the last quarter, assisting his teammates and setting up plays, where the Golden State Warriors ensured a 10-point lead. Houston Rockets took the lead from the Warriors in the 2nd quarter but were soon in the lead as Andrew Wiggins played a key role in scoring points for the warriors.
Stephen Curry was being haunted by Kevin Porter Jr. throughout the game and received praises from Steph after the match in the post-match interview. The Warriors were in dire need as the Rockets showed determination and played as if they had nothing to lose. Stephen Curry was hitting 3-pointers from everywhere, splashing step-backs, and some shots from way beyond the arc.
The showing was so good from Stephen Curry that the coach didn’t take him out in the fourth quarter, where Stephen Curry dropped 21-points, proving to his critics wrong once again. As the game came close to being over, Stephen Curry was shooting bullets to kill the Rockets for good, the Warriors got the lead into double digits. Stephen Curry ended the match with 40-points, 21 out of 40 were scored in the last quarter which was his highest total in the fourth quarter. It was that kind of play from Curry which we have been accustomed to watching, and after delivering such a performance again after a month of average performance this surely was a treat to watch at the Toyota Centre.
