Kyrie Irving makes history in NBA
Kyrie Irving hasn’t had a professional representative since he fired Roc Nation in July of 2021. According to the New York Post, Roc Nation was his second agency in just three years. Now working with his stepmother, the Nets star has great representation supporting him. Shetellia Riley has spent the last four years as the Vice President of Ad Sales for Black Entertainment Television. Before this, she spent over five years as the company’s Account Manager.
Even though he hasn’t played much in the 2021-22 season, Irving is managing to average more than 25 points, 5.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game. With Kevin Durant returning back for the Nets since their next game against the Miami heat, it will be interesting to see if Irving gets a chance to play all games as New York plans to drastically change their Covid-19 mandate.
With the word around the franchise being that Irving wants to stay with the Brooklyn Nets alongside Durant and Simmons, the 29-years-old can opt into his 2022 play option, or go into the 2022 NBA Offseason as a free agent. Whatever he does, he surely will be one of the best point guards, in modern-day NBA.
