Big man Shaquille O’Neal is not just one of the greatest basketball players to ever step on the court. He has many talents, that the world has witnessed over time, but there is something that Shaq never talked about. Perhaps, the world would never hear Shaq rapping, but he wanted to showcase the world. The voice O’Neal has, would have made the fans rise from their seat in ecstasy. Fans would have loved him dropping bars with a heavy voice. But the Hall of fame player revealed that it’s all in the past and fans would never hear it.

In a recent episode of Drink Champs the former Los Angeles Lakers star revealed that his version of “No Love Lost” was never released. The song featured The Notorious B.I.G., JAY-Z, and Nas but wasnever released. The song, according to Shaq also featured Bronx emcee Lord Tariq. Speaking about what had happened behind the scene O’Neal said that the money he was paid, wasn’t enough for him. “It wasn’t enough money for me because I went platinum right?” Shaquille O’Neal said.

Shaq also added that he had gone platinum and the cheque that was given to him didn’t seem enough of what he deserved. He also added that it was that day he learned a new word in the business. “So I was like I went platinum and they show me the cheque and I was like it’s some bu***hit. Then I learned a valuable word ‘recoup’,” admitted the 4 x NBA champion.

Perhaps the 3 x NBA Finals MVP thought that the money that was deducted from his payment for the studio charge wasn’t fair to him. “I was like how you gonna charge me for studio when I got my own studio? This ain’t right,” he said. He also added that he never felt cheated and betrayed by the artists because they were his friends and favorite. “I got a few hundred thousand back. So I really focused on just going in there, having a good time with my favorite artists,” said the 15 x NBA All-Star.

The version of “No Love Lost” that appeared on O’Neal’s third album “You Can’t Stop the Reign” under his rap name Shaq Diesel only featured JAY-Z and Lord Tariq. In other parts of the chat, the Lakers star disclosed that he still possesses an unreleased verse from Biggie from an earlier version of “You Can’t Stop the Reign.” The former NBA star claimed that he had to exclude the verse because young listeners wouldn’t find it appropriate. The late Kobe Bryant, Peter Gunz, Sauce Money, and other celebrities made cameo appearances on Shaq’s fourth and final studio album, “Respect,” which was released in 1998.
