Now that Kevin Durant has hashed things out with the Nets, they have a lot of pre-planning to be done ahead of next season. The return of Ben Simmons plays a vital role in their future. The former All-Star point guard obviously is a top ranked defender which will definitely help the Nets improve in whay they lacked last season.

Kyrie Irving has been questioned on his reliability but Brooklyn gave him another shot to prove himself with a $36.5 million one-year deal. The 2016 NBA Champion averaged 27.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game playing on 29 matchups in the regular season. Similarly, sharpshooter Joe Harris could be a massive distraction on offense with his 43.9% three-point shooting.

Phoenix Suns legend Amar’e Stoudemire says he has high hopes for Kevin Durant and his former teammate Steve Nash. “I think what they both will probably end up doing is having a conversation to try to hash it all out, and figure out a way to co-exist to compete for a championship.”

“Both of those guys are egoless, Steve was an egoless player. Kevin Durant is also an egoless player. He wants to win. He wants to make his teammates better. So, I think with those two guys who have that type of mentality and personality, it’ll work out for them,” he said.
