“I mislead the media” Aaron Rodgers made candid confession on manipulating on purpose with ‘immunized’ comment
Joe Rogan and Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers has made his way back to the NFL headlines and is also back on the heated discussion table and the topic is once again the vaccine controversy he is and was a part of dating back to last year. Last year he lied about being vaccinated and for that even today Aaron Rodgers is criticized by many around the world. But recently, when the Packers quarterback appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience” he added a totally different take to it. As he had reasons backing him up about his lie regarding his vaccination status as he called himself “immunized” and not “vaccinated”.
The very first reason Aaron Rodgers has given and is sticking with is him being allergic to polyethylene glycol, or PEG, a component in the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. So he didn’t take the vaccine shot as even the Centers for Disease Control recommended it. But since the J&J vaccine was made available and eligible soon after that he had options but he just stuck with his decision and didn’t get vaccinated. So the criticism and hate for Aaron Rodgers wasn’t down and cool as he was risking other’s life. After a while, the QB also admitted that he lied, in the podcast itself and knew that he’ll have to pay a price for it. As it’s the NFL and things can be leaked anytime and anywhere. But in his case, he contracted COVID-19 via a fully vaccinated person who took the shot to just stay in the chain of NFL.
Aaron Rodgers admits his manipulative lie for immunized comments
Speaking about his immunized comments, Aaron Rodgers quoted: “So I’d been ready the entire time for this question and had thought about how I wanted to answer it. I had come to the conclusion that I was going to say, ‘I’ve been immunized’ and if there was a follow-up, then talk about my process. But I thought there was a possibility that, I say I’m immunized, maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don’t, maybe they follow up. They didn’t follow up.”
Further knowing that the danger wasn’t all gone and he’ll have to face it one day, Aaron Rodgers added: “But I knew at some point that, if I contracted COVID or if word got out, because it’s the NFL and there’s leaks everywhere, it was possible I’d have to answer the questions. And then, sure enough, I contract COVID at the beginning of November/end of October and that’s when the sh*tstorm hit because now I’m a liar and endangering the community and my teammates, all these people. The attempted takedown of me and, you know, my word and my integrity began.”
Aaron Rodgers could have handled it in a bit easy way as he had reasons for not getting the vaccine shot. He could have just explained it to everyone around that questioned him in the same exact way he explained it all to Joe Rogan. But he showcased his smartness with manipulative comments and was riding with them too as there was no follow-up question. So a part of the hate and criticism he is facing today is well-deserved and earned by him but we hope with the help of media and the platform he has he can get himself out of the trouble hole soon.
