“I HATE you Motherf***er,” Allen Iverson revealed how he truly hated the former ESPN columnist for dissing him in his entire career

Jason Whitlock, Allen Iverson

One of the greatest NBA players of all time, Allen Iverson was entertaining to watch. Iverson has a history of speaking his mind, and when he was on a podcast a few years back, he made it a point to disparage Jason Whitlock. There were a number of professional journalists Allen and the 76ers players despised throughout their time and Whitlock was also one of those individuals.

More than any other player in NBA history, Allen Iverson had a particular identity of attitude. Whether it was his golden chains, cornrows, or anything else, Iverson had the respect of the public. Even though many players listened to hip-hop music, Iverson passionately embraced it, and he was well-known in the hip-hop community. Despite being a superstar in the NBA, he was the target of numerous analysts and faced more hatred than any other player at the time.

On an earlier episode of the “All The Smoke” podcast with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, Allen Iverson made an appearance. The three talked on a variety of subjects, including Iverson’s career with the Philadelphia 76ers and the current NBA stars. Iverson ended up slamming a TV host he did not name while talking about superstars like the late Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.

Iverson refused to identify the individual on the podcast, but he said: “I know you know who I’m talking to. I know you hate me, and trust me, trust me, I don’t hate nobody … yes, I do. I hate you.”

Iverson continued: “It’s a guy that do exactly what you do and just trust me, the way you hate me motherf**ker, I hate you too.” The co-hosts and the fans exactly knew he was talking about Jason Whitlock.

Allen Iverson and his legendary NBA career

Allen Iverson, who was only 6 feet tall, rose to become one of the NBA’s most dangerous scorers. He was typically the smallest player on the court, but his quickness, strength, and ball handling allowed him to move about the court with ease.

Iverson, well known as “The Answer,” departed Georgetown University after his sophomore year to pursue his NBA dream and show off his devastating crossovers and inside scoring skills. When he was selected regular season MVP and guided the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Finals in 2001, he made an everlasting influence on the team.

A.I. played professional basketball for 17 seasons but he retired from the NBA in 2010, making eleven NBA All-Star squads, scoring more than 24,000 points, dishing out more than 5,000 assists, and winning seven All-NBA honors. He has a scoring average of 26.7 during the regular season and 29.7 during the playoffs and has won the regular season scoring title four times (1999, 2001, 2002, 2005).

Iverson was a pop culture phenomenon who introduced a fresh sense of fashion to the NBA with his hip-hop-inspired attire. In addition to being selected for the NBA’s 75th-anniversary squad in 2022 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016.

Allen Iverson with more hate on the analyst

On the same podcast, Iverson went on to rant about Jason Whitlock again and the co-hosts finally understood who he was talking about. Later in the segment, the Answer stated: “The feeling is so mutual and you don’t help me and I don’t help you and I’m fine. I’m fine out here. Regardless of how much you talk about me!”

Whitlock has persisted to disparage Iverson since the late 2000s. Whitlock continued by claiming that Iverson’s hip-hop reputation has ruined the NBA in 2016, just before the 76ers icon was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Iverson was effectively referred to as an overrated, diva-like player by the analyst, who also brought attention to how many tattoos he has.
