NBA Insider Brian Windhorst believes that their luck will run out in the new year. He said, “This is an incredible stretch of basketball. This is Durant and Kyrie, the dream level that we’ve been looking at.” He continued, “There’s no way they’re gonna continue to shoot the ball this way. There’s no way they’ll continue to play this well on the clutch. We were all over this team for their deficiencies, and so now, we have to pay attention to them when it’s coming together.”

However, Windy was filled with praise for the Nets and Kevin Durant as well. “This is the type of basketball that we envisioned with the Nets, when Durant and Kyrie got together, and certainly when they got Harden. Essentially, they have two 50-40-90 performers performing at the same time,” he said during “The Hoop Collective” episode.
