Andrew Wiggins silenced every single person who doubted he would fit in with the Golden State Warriors. The player has been part of the NBA giant’s roster for two and a half seasons now and managed to help them make it through as champions. The first time champion is currently having the time of his life celebrating his victory with teammates and his partner as well.
During his first season, the Warriors barely made it through the play-in tournament. Of course, Stephen Curry had an incredible run averaging 32.2 points per game and finished among the top five in MVP rankings. The lack of depth in the team was the biggest setback for them but that changed over the course of a season as they quickly bounced back as one of top seeds in the Western Conference.
Andrew Wiggins becomes the perfect weapon for the Warriors
This season, the Warriors worked relentlessly for redemption and Andrew Wiggins helped them get it. He averaged 17.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game during the regular season. He was a perfect fit between Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson and always stayed consistent. He also played exceptional defense during the post-season which helped elevate the Warriors past their opponents.
During the playoffs, he put up 16.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game including 1 steal and block. He shot 46.9% from the field, 33.3% from three and 64.6% from the line as well. During Game 5 of the NBA finals, he recorded 26 points and 13 rebounds to help lead the Warriors in their second straight victory. In the closeout matchup, his defensive dominance paid off recording 4 steals, 3 blocks followed by 18 points inclusive of 4 made three-pointers.

Andrew Wiggins must be on cloud nine at the moment enjoying his first ever ring in his eight season career. His partner, Mychal Johnson tweeted a couple of pictures of them vacationing together after a week’s worth of partying with his teammates. Seems like he is not wasting his time by living his best life.
Mychal and Wiggins have been together for almost an entire decade. She has always shown incredible support towards his career. However, the celebrations may not end here, Golden State is expected to offer him a hefty contract extension this summer. The player was selected as an All-Star for the first time this season and also had the privilege of being named a starter alongside Curry.
