“You just aren’t a likeable person” – ‘Annoying’ Draymond Green gets reality check from NBA Twitter after claiming Harrison Barnes dislikes him for ending Warriors career

The Golden State Warriors have tied the series at two apiece in their first-round playoff series against the Sacramento Kings. After trailing 0-2, the Warriors bounced back and won two games at home to level the series. The battle between the two California rivals has been a roller coaster. The two will now face off in a crucial Game 5, which will leave one team on the brink of elimination and the other on the doorstep of the Western Conference semifinals.
The Warriors were one Harrison Barnes shot away from going 3-1 down. The Kings star missed a game-winning buzzer-beater in Game 4, which would have allowed Sacramento to close the series on Wednesday. Barnes was a key player in the Warriors’ 2015 championship run. Alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, Barnes played a defining role in the team’s first championship win in 40 years.
But following their brutal loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals, the Warriors traded Barnes to the Dallas Mavericks to make room for Kevin Durant.
Barnes was a great role player for the Warriors. He was a reliable third option for the team and was also active on the defensive end. Though he did improve after leaving the Warriors, Green still believes that Barnes still holds a grudge against the 2016 trade. On the latest episode of the Draymond Green podcast, the Warriors star gave an insight into why he believes his former teammate still holds a grudge against him.
Green believes Barnes still dislikes him because Draymond was the driving force behind Durant joining the Warriors.“I’ve actually never spoken on this before. But Harrison Barnes, I think to this day, still don’t like me for KD coming [to Golden State]. The reality is, I didn’t tell them to trade you to bring KD in. He took it very personally because of the story that came out that I cried to KD in the car,” explained Green.

NBA Twitter gives Draymond Green reality check after Harrison Barnes admission

Green further explained that Barnes invited all his Warriors co-stars to his wedding except him. “This dude invited Steph [Curry], Klay [Thompson], everybody at his wedding except me. Bruh. All these dudes were at the same meeting that I was with KD,”, added Green. Draymond was somewhat puzzled by Barnes’ snub, though fans believe Green’s assessment is not based in reality. Twitteratis termed Green as an annoying person or just hating on Barnes’ personal decision to not invite Draymond to his wedding:
Harrison married his wife Brittany Johnson in 2017. Years have passed since this incident, and now Barnes faces his former team in a heated playoff series. Green’s admission ahead of a crucial playoff battle can only be deemed as a mind game to put Barnes off his game. Although, it’s also possible that the Warriors star is genuinely upset about Barnes’ snub six years since it happened.
