”Anthony Davis is pouting”: LeBron James reportedly ”not happy” with teammate Anthony Davis resulting in Mavericks interest

LeBron James is getting tired of putting the Los Angeles Lakers on his back and things are getting messy in LA. NBA journalist Colin Cowherd said, “Dave McMenamin covers the NBA and someone fed him the story ‘Darvin Ham is overplaying Lebron James and that’s why he is banged up'”. Colin Cowherd elaborated that this issue has been on since they won the championship in 2020. “LeBron wanted to hand the franchise to Anthony Davis after the championship“, said Cowherd. Anthony Davis reportedly came back that summer out of shape which frustrated Lebron.

Just a couple of weeks back AD was seen as uninterested while LeBron broke the scoring record which sparked controversy. Now after hearing reports that LeBron is being overplayed due to AD’s absence, it’s not surprising that a rift could exist. Colin Cowherd reports, “The Dallas Mavericks and Anthony Davis, keep your eyes open“, this is after LeBron has tried to hold AD accountable for missing games. LeBron also decided not to travel with the team and attend the Super Bowl instead.

This season LeBron is still playing 36 minutes a game while AD gets injured what seems like every other week. NBA reporter Chris Haynes says LeBron James’ ankle is worse than reported which is a huge blow to LA. To add to that Darvin Ham was reportedly playing LeBron while his ankle was hurt before he broke the record. It is no coincidence that LeBron has been injured ever since then. ‘King’ played through the injury for the team and to get to the record but now has decided enough is enough.

LeBron James could very well leave LA and finish his career elsewhere

LeBron James has been known for jumping franchises and he might have overstayed his time in LA. He has now spent more time in LA than any other team apart from his first stint at Cleveland. However, he has just one championship to show for it. The Lakers have not even made the 2nd round of the playoffs since winning it all. With AD being unreliable, it will not be surprising to see LeBron jump ship before AD.

Even though reports state the Dallas Mavericks are interested in AD, they would have to give up Kyrie for that. Maybe it is all part of LeBron’s plan to end up playing with Kyrie again if AD goes to Dallas but it is all rumors for now. As it stands LeBron seems unhappy in LA and is holding his disinterested teammate accountable. If LeBron decides to leave, best believe he will have the entire league scrambling for a deal.

Pointing fingers is never a fun game but it looks like Darvin Ham is at fault here. Although he did not have a choice, the only reason the Lakers have won as many games as they have is LeBron. Now the franchise is in a tough spot as they have two unhappy stars and a losing record. The Lakers have to hope AD can mend his relationship with The King before one of them decides to call it quits.
