The Los Angeles Lakers officially listed Anthony Davis‘ status for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets as questionable. They also listed hip spasms and left adductor as part of Davis’ official injury. During Lakers game against the Miami Heat on Monday, Anthony experienced a groin spasm. One of the famous American sports reporters, Shams Charania, gave an update on Anthony Davis’s injury in detail.
In one of FanDuel’s flagship NBA shows, Run it Back, Shams Charania gave an update on Davis. Charania mentioned they would run some tests on him in the meantime. He also mentioned that the injury looked similar to his previous injury in the 2021 playoff against the Suns.
This is what Shams Charania said about the matter:
I'm sure Anthony Davis is gonna have tests today, and just make sure that it's not anything else structurally wrong. But yeah, I mean, it's groin, hip spasm, that whole area, the adductor." He'll have more tests today, but definitely, a unique injury play happened. It looked like he just tweaked that area, and it wasn't anything that really happened on contact. So you hope there's nothing more severe. But when he did come in and come out and then come back in and checked in and out, he was hobbled.Shams Charania via FanDuel
Ballsack Sports, a well-known account, dubbed it “sperm cramps,” which infuriated Lakers fans on X, the former Twitter. It not only made people laugh a lot, but it quickly went viral and increased interest in the former NBA champion. Despite the jokes, many would hope Davis returns as soon as possible without any compromising injury.
Were Anthony Davis’s sperm cramps real?
There were legitimate worries regarding Anthony Davis’ injury on social media. Before the team released an official statement, meme handles spread rumors about what had happened. Ballsack Sports coined the term “sperm cramps,” which infuriated Lakers supporters on X. It not only made people laugh a lot, but it quickly went viral and increased interest in the former NBA champion.
It’s safe to say that Davis never experienced sperm cramps. Even though the latter is a condition, he did not experience it. After the Lakers lost 108-107, the center provided an update, stating that he had initially described the discomfort as a groin spasm, but it had turned out to be a hip injury. Fortunately for them, Anthony Davis appears to be doing well. The last thing the Los Angeles Lakers needed was another injury to one of their big men. Fans of the Lakers will be happy to hear that the man himself provided the most recent update.
With their record at.500 through six games, the Lakers hope the injury does not keep him out of action in their next games. With an average of 26.3 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game, “AD” has been a significant difference-maker.
