Every year, the NBA drafts new players into the league, which leads to the ascent of new players to stardom. Some players enter the league with generational talent, ready to turn a team around, while some freshmen take their time to grow into superstars. Anthony Edwards, a great guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, is one of them. His teammate, Karl Anthony Towns believes so and so does the majority of people.

Following the All-Star Break, the Minnesota Timberwolves are the top-seed team in the Western Conference. Leading the way are Towns and Edwards, who have made them one of the finest teams this season. During a recent interview on First Take, Karl-Anthony Towns discussed Edwards.

You mix that in with the charisma and the personality he has, he's a huge boost for our locker room as well. Anthony Edwards is special. He hates when I say it, but he is going to be the face of the NBA sooner than later.

According to Towns, Edwards is currently one of the greatest players in the league because of the way he is playing.

Edwards, who has all the makings of the league’s future face, is not a huge fan of his compliments. Even when he doesn’t like it, Karl Anthony-Towns makes sure that he annoys him.

Draymond Green calls out Anthony Edwards

Power forward Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors expressed disappointment in rising Minnesota Timberwolves player, Anthony Edwards, for his fairly negative opinion about All-Star Games. Edwards’ casual remarks regarding the All-Star game, which strongly implied that no players take the competition seriously, infuriated Green.

To see guys like Anthony Edwards, Who a lot of people are saying as the next face of the league, like blatantly say, We don't care, we don't want to play. To me that was a bit disheartening.

Although Edwards has exhibited glimpses of greatness over his first four NBA seasons. He has performed really well. However, Green’s criticism seems to be motivated by a degree of greatness that he perceives in the player.
