The fact that LeBron James is currently the oldest player in the league makes the remark more hilarious. However, the veteran’s 21 years of experience also adds volume to the star’s choice of Edwards. James had the choice to pick some of the most talented players in the league, but the star decided to rely on Edwards as his first pick.

Anthony Edwards showed his potential on Sunday, as the star took the Timberwolves to victory over the Lakers in James’ absence. The athlete played an essential role in the win by scoring 26 points. The win was the team’s 54th of the season, which secured them the first spot in the Western Conference.

Ant-Man is currently among the best young stars of the NBA, as he leads the top team in the Western Conference. After the veterans of the game decide to retire, Edwards, without a doubt, will become one of the most important names in the league.

Ahead of the game, in an interview with NBA on TNT, James was asked about the player he was most excited about playing with.

I would say Shai, Ant-Man, I feel like those are two of the guys that can continue the torch after I’m done.
