Austin Reaves and LeBron James
Los Angeles Lakers youngster Austin Reaves has been an essential part of his franchise lately. After the NBA legend LeBron James’ power-packed performance against the San Antonio Spurs, Austin had something unusual to say about the veteran’s heroics.
As tweeted by Kyle Goon, Austin, when asked about LeBron’s 39-points show against the San Antonio Spurs, quoted, “He couldn’t get 40. Unfortunate.” He laughed and added further, “Obviously Bron did what Bron does.” Besides Austin jokingly trolling LeBron and appreciating him, everyone else knows what LeBron can do and is much obliged toward him.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that LeBron single-handedly led his team to a win. Seeing LeBron play that night, no one would have believed that he was playing the 20th season of his NBA career.
Indeed, he has aged like fine wine and still continues to grow. James’ form would have given much relief to the LA Lakers camp as they still have to work on a plenty of areas.

The LA Lakers team routed the San Antonio Spurs for the third time in a week, 143-138. All the credits go to their marquee star, LeBron James. He delivered when needed and stood like a wall between the Spurs and the win. James nailed 39 points with an 11-for-21 shooting night from the field. In addition, he knocked seven shots from beyond the arc and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe.
Moreover, the four-time MVP added a game-high 11 rebounds. Dennis Schroder scored 21 points, and six assists, and Lonnie Walker had 19 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter. This win marked the Lakers franchise’s fifth win in the last six games. Center star Anthony Davis missed out due to a bruised left calf he sustained in Friday’s victory over San Antonio.
Russell Westbrook suffered a deep cut on his head after Collins elbow hit him. Although Westbrook got a technical foul, Collins was ejected from the game. Keldon Johnson scored 26 points and ten rebounds for the Spurs, Tre Jones added 23 points and 13 assists, and Devin Vassell had 19 points.
The Lakers will look to keep their winning run when they face the Indiana Pacers next. In contrast, the San Antonio Spurs will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
