Ben Simmons may be returning with a firm heart and the intent of getting back the reputation he lost over the last season. But this may come at the cost of his relationship as well. The former NBA All-Star has been trying to work through his career and personal life but nothing has panned out rock solid.
Recently, it was revealed that he had called off his engagement with television Maya Jama with whom he proposed to late lasts season. It is said that both individuals have decided to commit to their careers as it is more important. With this as a reason, the couple found it incredibly hard to maintain their relationship.
The decision was mutually made as Ben Simmons will also be returning to the game after a season filled with controversy. Jama, who is a British television star was supportive of the Australian baller’s decision to pay more attention to his return in the NBA.

Their pairing wet rival after they were spotted at a Wimbledon game last year. The two were getting very cosy seated next to each other. This seemed to be the only bright moment going on for the Brooklyn Nets point guard after facing terrible a lot backlash prior their relationship going public.
In December 2021, Ben Simmons had popped the question to Maya who had flown into the country to spend time with the player for thanksgiving. After making it official, the pair had apparently spent the entire holiday season together.
It was also said that Jama was supposed to move in with her beau after it was rumored that Simmons bought a house in LA. But despite their current status of being separated, an unnamed source claimed that they still very much in love and hold strong feelings for one another.
