Ben Simmons is all over the NBA headlines and the reason this time isn’t around his return and time with the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving led Brooklyn Nets. Instead, it’s about the recent accusations the internet is talking about on the heated discussion table. As some days ago Ben Simmons was accused of hooking up with Megan Thee Stallion and her ex-friend and assistant Kelsey Harris.
The ongoing Tory Lanez shooting trial where he is accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion has got Ben Simmons involved too. The unfortunate shooting incident happened inside a car after a heated argument between the Canadian rapper with Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Harris.
The rapper brought in the name of the Nets’ star in the trial and in the argument too. His argument with Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Harris in the car was regarding the s*xual relationships they have had in the past and even with him. Tory in the argument also mentioned how Megan Thee Stallion has been hooking up with every man Kelsey has hooked up in the past with. And, Ben Simmons was unexpectedly a name that recently popped up in that list too.
According to the IG page, “Lawyer For The Workers,” Ben Simmons has been involved in the case too. As while updating on the trial and the opening statements they quoted: “The defense’s point is that what happens in the car is this: Tory questions Kelsey, ‘Hey Kelsey why are you backing up Meg for me trying to get it on with Kyle Jenner? Meg has been snaking men from you your whole life. I hooked up with you Kelsey, and then Meg went behind your back and hooked up with me. And, Kelsey, this is not the first time. You had been hooking up with Ben Simmons? Meg went behind your back and hooked up with Ben Simmons.”
Ben Simmons though has denied this accusation and many are riding with him as he hasn’t made any headlines in the past for being around Megan Thee Stallion. Denying the claims, he posted an Instagram story where through a short video he made a statement for the accusations. As the video has a guy (Rick Ross) saying: “These are not accusations. This is false accusation!”
Can Ben Simmons help the Nets get across amid off-court drama involving Megan Thee Stallion?
Ben Simmons has already missed a lot of games in the past weeks due to injuries. And, now with him being accused of hooking up with Megan Thee Stallion, he’ll have to face a lot of drama and answer many questions about it. As with the trial going on his name may bounce in again and gift him some unwanted attention. But there’s also a good chance of him staying off of it as he has already denied the accusations.
The Brooklyn Nets really need him back on the court with all of his focus on the game and nothing else. As the team needs to play some winning basketball and for that to happen it’s necessary for him to ball out. Right now, the Nets are ranked as the fourth seed in the eastern conference with a record of 17 wins and 12 losses as Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are taking care of the business.
