After the game against the 76ers, Unseld Jr. had told that the severity of the All-Star player was unclear and he needs to go under further evaluation. Later on, Shams Charania reported that Beal was day-to-day after the MRI and was out against the Phoenix Suns game on Wednesday. “Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will be day-to-day after MRI on his left hamstring. He will miss tonight’s game vs. Phoenix,” Charania wrote on Twitter.

However, the NBA Insider also updated that the star could make his return against the Orlando Magic. Charania wrote, “There’s optimism he will be available as soon as the Wizards’ next contest on Friday in Orlando.” After the injury in the 4th quarter, Beal looked upset as he tossed his headband in frustration, as he headed back to the locker room.

So far into the season, the 3 x All-Star has played 23 games and has been averaging 23.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Beal is shooting an impressive 52.7% from the field for the Wizards. After he exited the game with 19 points and 5 assists, and 2 blocks, the 76ers beat Washington 116-111.

Despite back-to-back games, the Washington Wizards recorded a much-needed win against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. In absence of Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma took care of the Wizards’ offense. Rui Hachimura had 30 points and Porzingis & Kuzma, each had 23 and 22 points for Washington against one of the top teams in the league.

Phoenix was also playing without their head of the offense in Devin Booker, who is out for at least 4 weeks with a groin strain. Deandre Ayton lead the team with 31 points, and Chris Paul also contributed with 20 points. The Suns have continued to struggle on the road and are 6-10 in 16 games they have played away from their home arena.

The Wizards shot 57.3% from the floor and convincingly outscored Phoenix 60-28 in the paint; they also outrebounded the Suns 46-30. After the game Suns coach, Monty Williams said that the Wizards beat them at the rim which caused them to lose the game. “They attacked us. Close-outs tonight weren’t great… they were getting to the rim. So that probably hurt us more than anything.” said Williams.
